The UPSSSC AGTA (Agriculture Technical Assistant) Exam 2026 is a state-level recruitment examination conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) to fill 2,759 Group-C posts in the Directorate of Agriculture. This exam is specifically for candidates who have a background in agriculture and have qualified for the PET 2025 (Preliminary Eligibility Test).
Notification Release: 24 March 2026.
Application Dates: 22 May 2026 to 11 June 2026.
Application Fee: ₹25 for all categories.
Salary: Pay Level-4 (₹25,500 – ₹81,100).
Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Agriculture (B.Sc. Ag) or equivalent degrees like Horticulture, Forestry, B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering, or Home Science/Community Science (4-year degree) from a recognized university.
Mandatory Requirement: Candidates must possess a valid PET 2025 Scorecard.
Age Limit: 21 to 40 years as of 1 July 2026, with relaxations for reserved categories as per government rules.
The written examination is a single objective-type paper consisting of 100 questions to be completed in 2 hours (120 minutes).
