The OPSC AAO Exam 2026 is conducted for direct recruitment to fill 118 vacancies of Assistant Agriculture Officer in Odisha. The examination assesses candidates’ technical knowledge in agriculture and allied subjects at the Bachelor’s Degree level, followed by a personality test to evaluate suitability for government service.
Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture (B.Sc. Agriculture) or
Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture (B.Sc. Horticulture)
Degree must be obtained from a recognized university or institution approved by the State Government or Government of India
No other equivalent qualification is acceptable.
Minimum Age: 21 years
Maximum Age: 42 years as on 1 January 2025
Candidate must not have been born earlier than 2 January 1983 and not later than 1 January 2004
Age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, SEBC, Women, Ex-Servicemen, and Persons with Disabilities as per Government rules
The selection shall be made through a competitive examination consisting of:
Written Examination (200 marks)
Personality Test (Interview – 25 marks)

Each paper has 100 MCQs, 1 mark each
Negative Marking: 25% mark deducted for each wrong answer
No penalty for unattempted questions
